about us

A Prisoner's Pardon (APP) is an organization dedicated to reducing recidivism - the tendency of ex-prisoners to go back to prison.

APP was founded by Michelle Jackson due to her brother being a repeat offender. Her faith in Jesus Christ has led her to the solution. To spread the word, she launched APP as a multi-faceted ministry designed to enlighten and equip everyone concerned with this problem.

Among her strategies is a weekly podcast. Now in its second season it airs in-depth interviews with subject-matter experts on all aspects of prison reform - ex-cons, family members, employers, correctional officials, police officers, social workers, counselors and the faith community.

Other APP tools currently under development include a memoir entitled A Prisoner's Pardon, slated for release in early 2023; training materials to help prisoners and their supporters change from inside out and cooperative efforts with governmental agencies and the faith community to build back the black family and its traditional values.
